A recent routine health and safety inspection has disclosed that the prolonged spell of hot weather has caused the appearance of ruts and changes in the camber of the roads on which the horse bus is scheduled to run, such that it would be unwise or even dangerous to both the vehicle and its passengers to drive the bus over the intended route. All the local minor roads are in a similar state so it has been necessary to cancel the appearance of the horse bus during the HODs this year. The disappointment is shared by the operators and greatly regretted. However there are plans for the horse bus to make an appearance in a Mole Valley town later in the year.
